AEGD Application Requirements Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Requirement Instructions
Citizens from non-English-speaking countries are required to submit proof of English proficiency to be eligible for review:
- a TOEFL score of at least 85 on TOEFL iBT (550 paper-based), or
- a TOEFL Essentials score of at least 8.5, or
- an IELTS score of at least 6.0, or
- a GRE Verbal Reasoning score of at least 146 (400 on the old scale),
- completing all years of a Bachelor's degree or higher at a US-accredited university (subject to approval), or
- acquiring alternative verification during the admission process from the Graduate and Professional School via a departmental request. An international graduate student holding an advanced degree from an accredited institution located in the US qualifies for alternative verification.
AEGD Application Requirements US Dental School Requirements
For US Dental School DDS, DMD or dental school student applicants:
- NBDE/INBDE exam results should be submitted through PASS, if available at time of application. If not, they must be provided prior to matriculation.
- GRE is NOT required. (optional)
- ADAT test is NOT required. (optional)
- No additional application fee required.
AEGD Application Requirements International Student Eligibility
- TOEFL score is required. (Texas A&M code is 6003)
- NBDE/INBDE exam result is NOT required
Applicants Without U.S. Dental Degrees may be considered.
Eligible Citizenship Types:
- US Citizen, US Permanent Resident
- US/Canadian Citizen, US/Canadian Permanent Resident
- Non-US Citizen/Resident (no sponsorship)
- Non-US Citizen/Resident (need sponsorship)
